Sana Yousif Alabdulwahed

Sana Yousif Alabdulwahed is a Furniture designer founder of El_Masnad carpet lounge. She is dedicated to make a Social Impact, through Cultural Expression to meet Local Aspiration. The designer is the first Saudi ever to graduate from the renowned @ArtCenter College of Design. in MSc in Environmental Design, Furniture and fixtures, in Pasadena, Ca 2015.

Now, she is researching bringing computational furniture design to the region through the innovative additive manufacturing lab sponsored by Abyat Saudi for building materials in Dammam.

The designer was sponsored by Ithra in Dubai Design Week for a group installation, in 2018. Also, nominated to design the Saudi pavilion by Saudi Design Week for Miami Design, in 2020. She won the first prize for “Rethinking The Future” for a 3D Printed pop-up conceptual building, in 2021. Finally, the designer exhibited her 3D Print tables in Milan Design Week in 2022. The designer is keen on using the digital medium in story-telling by computing information graphs, timelines, videos, music, or imagery. She gained this experience as an R&D computational/ Parametric designer for advanced custom mass production manufacturing. The designs include building façade, interior cladding, and ceilings. The crown project is the yacht club renovation façade in Bahrain Marina Bay.
